The AFP Greater Detroit Chapter Annual Meeting will be held at noon on December 11 at University of Michigan – Dearborn. The event will be located in Fairlane Center South Dining Room D!

Join us as we celebrate the achievements of our members over the past year and look forward to new opportunities and successes in 2026. Plus, we’ve got a great speaker joining us — Roger Ali, MBA, C. Dir., CFRE. He is our AFP Global Board of Directors Chair, and will be discussing Leading with Purpose in a Changing Sector.

Roger D. Ali will delve into the significance of leading with clarity amidst uncertainty through personal anecdotes and a focus on generosity and connection. The session will introduce a fresh perspective on leadership that emphasizes presence, curiosity, boundaries, progress, and authentic connections. Attendees will explore the alignment of purpose and trust within organizations, reinforcing the idea that philanthropy flourishes when these elements are in harmony. Expect to be inspired to embrace optimism, act with purpose, and celebrate the transformative power of giving in fortifying communities.

Free parking is available at Fairlane Center North (in lot FCN1). A visitor map will be sent to registrants prior to the meeting.

Registration opens at 11:30am. Lunch will be served at 12:00pm. The meeting will conclude at 2:00pm.
