Black Philanthropy Month Celebration

When: August 13, 2025 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Join AFP Greater Detroit as we celebrate Black Philanthropy Month with an inspiring evening of connection, storytelling, and impact.

Grounded in the West African principle of Sankofa, which calls us to “go back and get it,” this conversation will explore the rich legacy of Black giving, challenge conventional narratives around philanthropy, and envision a future rooted in equity, community, and empowerment.
This special event will feature a dynamic panel of changemakers, sharing personal stories and powerful perspectives on giving, legacy, and leadership in the Black community.
