Each year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Detroit Chapter hosts one of the nation’s largest local celebrations of National Philanthropy Day. Not only is it a celebration of all the things that make our industry wonderful, but the proceeds from the event support the important education and programming provided throughout the year by the Greater Detroit Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Without this event, and the community that supports us, the work that we do would not be possible!
This year, the 34th annual National Philanthropy Day will be celebrated on two different occasions. On October 9, we'll host the National Philanthropy Day Breakfast at Durfee Innovation Society at Life Remodeled featuring exciting and informative panels comprised of industry professionals from our region. Join us for a morning of networking and great conversation. Then, on November 13, we'll host our National Philanthropy Day Awards Gala at The Henry Ford. This year's dinner will feature a new format that includes more time for celebration and networking as well as the presentation of AFP's annual awards and celebration of Distinguished Volunteers.
